If you want to never include.DS_Store files in your Git repositories, you can configure your Git to globally exclude those files. On a Mac, it is important to remember to add.DS_Store (a hidden OS X system file that's put in folders) to your.gitignore files. If you have to pull or push something just hit CTRL+SHIFT+P to open the command. Simply open your settings file and you will see any changes in the status bar. This is a repo of the Sublime Text 3 PackagesUser folder containing all installed Sublime Text packages and settings, including custom Sublime Text User Preferences. Really, we're still simply setting up the.gitconfig file with a path to sublime text.
Setting up Sublime Text 2 (or the new Beta Release of version 3) as the default editor used by Git is not overly challenging, but not necessarily obvious either.
